Story
My passion for communication, anthropology, and public health have all led me to have a unique perspective on how people interact with online content and services — particularly around personal or complex issues.
In 2016, I answered President Obama's call to civil service by joining the U.S. Digital Service. While there, I worked with the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the State Department to create better online experiences with and for Americans — with a focus on plain language and intuitive web design.
After three years working to improve healthcare providers' access to scientific research on neurological conditions through accessible digital multimedia content, I felt the pull to return to government service once again. This time, at the Digital Service at CMS leading behavioral health projects.
Previously, I helped grow a health communication start-up from five to 40 employees — doing everything from leading the writing team, coaching clients on best practices in writing for the web, crafting proposals that rarely lost, whipping up social media content, and working with designers to create eye-catching apps, websites, print materials, and infographics.
